It is always a treat to see red foxes hunting in the fields just outside of town. Sometimes they bring along their adventurous and energetic kits, but then very little serious field work is done. They seem to be a fascinating combination of dog and cat. I could watch them all day and never tire of painting their beautiful rust-colored coats and their incredible eyes.
This is an oil painting on stretched, wrapped canvas. All the edges have been painted and no fasteners show from the sides. It may be hung without a frame, but would look beautiful in the frame of your choice.
