About the painting: it is a small gallery wrapped piece in oil that shows the last rays of the sun captured by the lone tree. It does not need a frame and can be displayed as is, the sides are staple free and painted.
I was inspired by the way it stands with its arms open to the light.

On a personal note, I know Jay Cannaday has been doing the work of rescuing many kill shelter pets for a long, long time with many transport runs and fostering long before this rescue was formalized. There are many "Happy Tails" that you can read about on the site.
