Inspired by the song from the Dr. Doolittle musical. I saw this little guy at the Iowa State Fair last summer and thought him so sweet and friendly. He posed for several photos, and of course I found myself wishing I could take him home. Anyway, I loved his bright, inquisitive eyes and sweet expression. He reminded me of one of my favorite books, The Velveteen Rabbit.

Our licensing agent sent out a call for art for a company that makes kitchen accessories. It was short notice but the subject matter that they were looking for appealed to me so I went for it. This delightfully colorful piece is the result. I added a fun border around the edges of the painting (see image below) incase a collector may want to leave it unframed.
